My husband and I have passed the Rock Springs going to Phoenix for years. We have seen the parking lot jammed and thought it must be good. We've even seen it on Arizona Highways. We finally decided to give it a try. First off we waited in line looking in at the dining room which was full of dirty, uncleared tables for almost 20 minutes. We were finally seated by a waitress who brought us to a table with no chairs. Once she found us chairs she gave us menus and took our drink order. Our sodas arrived promptly. When we ordered we were told it may take a while because they were on shift change. Well, after about 40 minutes and people all around us getting their food we called the waitress over and asked what was up with our order, she blamed it on the kitchen. When we explained that everyone around us, including people who sat after us had received their food. She just kept saying she didn't know what to tell us. We asked to speak to the manager. The manager arrived and we explained the situation, she stated that there were some new cooks in the kitchen. That was NO excuse for us, all we ordered was a hamburger and a club sandwich. She offered to comp our meal. At this point we were so disgusted and angry we said no we just wanted to leave. She then offered us a pie to take home which we accepted. It was a horrible experience and we will NEVER return.
A very bad experience! A little grooming goes along way!Blond waitress to busy visiting with other staff to properly wait on our table! All 3 sandwichs and fries on our plates were soaked in the dill pickle garnish as the pickle was buried with our fries and sandwichs instead of placed as what it was a garnish. When my mother inquired about her senior discount it took waitress awhile so she just left the amount on first slip and told waitress just (add) it to your tip, the waitress then said very loudly ("oh 4 cents for the tip, thanks"). Actually it was about 90 cents and if she would have listened to the "ADD IT TO YOUR TIP" my mother said as I had left a five dollar bill on the table. She embarassed my mother and I admit I took my $5.00 back. I waited tables for a number of years and know that your income is from tips but it is your JOB to be a good server!
We bought three pies, JD pecan, Blueberry crumb, and the Kentucky/Tennessee lemon. All three were perfect. We could not stop eating them. Anytime we decide to buy pies instead of making them, we get the other than ordinary fruit pies(apple, peach, cherry, ect) and I think thats what you need to do here. We loved them
