User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI believe this place is now named the Silver Spur and I have to tell you, it is much better now than it ever was. The new management is much more involved in the business and it shows. Service is great and so is the food!

As a Cave Creek resident I have made the mistake of eating at this place twice, once while under the original ownership and again just recently after the name change and new ownership. Both times the service was lousy, the food terrible [How difficult is chicken fried steak anyway? Is was raw in the center, and the manager refused to comp the meal, just replaced it with another distusting plate], the salad bar is pathetic, and the resturant has a dirty feel about it. Buy a T-shirt, fine. But for god sakes please don't eat there!
Should have been renamed "The Disgusting Toad"
Out of town visitors, please don't hold this nasty place against Cave Creek. For the rest of us that live here, we should demand better! Cartwrights, El Encanto - now thats now like it! -

Bad - Really really bad.
The owners of 20+ years have left and the new owners are going to take this place to the grave.
The food is not was it used to be... and the service is terrible. Apparently most people have figured this out - I brought a group of out of towners on a Saturday night expecting to find the usual wait. We were seated in a half empty room but still waited 70 minutes for our food.
I guess next time I'll be at the Horny Toad or Harolds.

Wow, too bad you had a problem, funny though, I thought the salad bar was huge and is really the best in Cave Creek.
