Where do I start.. The general manager's email to me states "we strive to create a relationship that earns us a lifetime customer. We want you to service with us, buy more vehicles from us, and most importantly, feel comfortable in recommending us to your friends." Yeah right! I bought my car from them out of state. Before I picked up the car I asked them to have the car cleaned inside & out. The interior had blood splattered all over the passenger seat, sunroof and paneling. There was garbage under the seats; the floors were covered in dog hair. The engine was filthy. The grill was not attached to the car, the struts were bad, and the hood lifts were broken. And all of this was new to the salesman selling the car. When I asked him about what certain knobs/buttons were he had no idea. During the final paperwork, the man was combative and would not answer my questions regarding warranties, etc. He "worked for the owner, not the sales team" he said. As if my questions were inappropriate. After deciding to buy the car because I was getting a good deal, I left. I had 1000 miles to drive home. After driving 450 miles the car had major issues. The lights failed, a warning light that said the brakes had failed came on, I had zero rpms, no hazards, no heat, the doors would not lock, and more. I immediately called the dealer and reported this to the salesman and the manager. They said that they would take care of everything, just be safe. After getting it to the dealer in my hometown, the chief mechanic determined that the electrical system had failed, the radiator was cracked and more. When I contacted the salesman, multiple managers, and even the general manager they just ignored me and my calls. They wanted nothing to do with me now that I owned the car. It took me 2 weeks to get them to cover the price of a new radiator only. I would have to pay for installation and any other costs to the car.
Overall, worst dealer I have ever dealt with, and we recently bought a new Saturn from the Saturn dealer in Boise, ID- they were great. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH PEORIA NISSAN. I DON'T CARE HOW GOOD THE DEAL IS, IT'S NOT WORTH THE HASSLE OF WORKING WITH THIS BUSINESS. I HAVE CONTACTED THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AND THE ARIZONA ATTORNEY GENERAL REGARDING THIS DEALERSHIP. Please take my advice. I am not mad about being treated badly, I am truly frustrated about such bad service and the lack of steps that they have taken to ensure my happiness and safety.
BEWARE!! PEORIA NISSAN AND REMOTE ALARM DEALER UNLIMITED ARE RIP OFF ARTISTS!!
I purchased a new 06 Titan from PN in 2006. While in the Finance office, the agent recommended a remote start w/ alarm. We wrote it into the deal. The remote start was installed and used on ocassion. PN tried to rip me off by charging me for a fire that the remote start caused under the dash. I started the truck from the inside of the store and smoke began filling the cab. In panic, i opened all the doors and went straight for the fuse box, pulling each one out, one by one. Smoke kept coming out from under the dash, just above the gas pedal. I popped the hood and disconnected the battery and the fire went out. I had the truck towed to PN. Nissan inspected the truck and told me that they couldn't tell if the damage was covered by warranty, and wouldn't know until they could apply power to the dash. This went on for a week. Meanwhile, i got my insurance company to open a claim and go down to look at the truck. PN sent their tech and a rep from Nissan to inspect it too. The harnesses and CU were on order, and it was into the 2 week time period; getting impatient. Nissan finally got power to the dash and said, NOPE - YOUR WARRANTY DON'T COVER THAT - REGARDLESS OF MILEAGE OR YEARS. SHOULD'VE TOLD ME TO BEGIN WITH!! THANKS FOR NOTHING! Then Nissan turns around and makes up a story about how a wrong fuse was found and it probably caused the fire. Bullshit! The fuse was put back in there after the fire. I never had to touch a fuse since I owned the truck. Besides, wouldn't the fire have started again if they put the battery back on? Then they tried blaming it on the fob...why would the fob cause a fire under the dash? They ended up charging my insurance company $3000 dollars to fix a problem they knowingly played a part in. If Nissan hadn't recommended I have the unit installed, we wouldn't have been driving a fire hazard around, and there wouldn't be an article like this about them. Peoria Nissan should have been alot more honest in handling this incident and paid for a portion, if not all of the damages. They should be the BIG COMPANY and vouch for their vendor's "Quality Installation". SHAME ON YOU PEORIA NISSAN!! SHAME ON YOU THERESA (GENERAL MGR.)!! SHAME ON YOU DEALER UNLIMITED!! A BIG FAT WEB OF LIES!!!
Be careful when purchasing a car from these people. Read the offer and contract carefully. They pre-print in a charge for an optional "paint coating" as if it's "necessary". It isn't.
Read every line item and every charge and have it explained. If it's optional and you don't want it, tell them to take it out - they're just trying to get more money out of you.
