We live here in Quartzsite all year long and I can still brag about Silly Al's being one of our local treasures. It is very convenient to travelers passing thru from Parker to Yuma as well as Phoenix to Palm Springs. And it is the best water hole along these two routes. The pizza is tops and they also serve Michelob AMBERBOCK beer on draft. That clinches it for me. If my main squeeze wasn't a borderline glutin intolerant and a real lightweight when it comes to drinking beer, we'd be in Silly Al's all the time.
They have a nice dance floor, lots of tables and a bar, plus it's cool and dark inside.
Some nights of the week the local talent (a much better selection during the winter RV influx) displays hand at Karoke, Weekends in the winter show some damn good country bands too. C'mon and help make this place a household word for thee place to stop while passing thru the middle of Nowhere. If Quartzsite didn't already have a name we'd have to call it "Middle of Nowhere, AZ"
Very good pizza. I was disappointed that it closed down for the summer. Look forward to mit opening again
Great dive bar and restaurant in the middle of nowhere. Quartzsite is one of the only small towns on the road between Phoenix and Palm Springs. The day we stopped by the temperature was 114 degrees and the exterior looked a little iffy. We walked into the little building and went from blinding hot sun to a cool dark bar, dance hall, and restaurant. There is a wide selection of Pizzas and the owner takes great pride in his pizza. They sell burgers, salads, and other food items but Pizza is their pride. The locals are very friendly. If you are making the long trip on highway 10 between Arizona and California, this is a great little oasis to stop at, take a rest, and enjoy some good pizza.
