    It's about the food

    Richard, Keith and I ate lunch at El Sarape the other day. Richard had the relleno lunch. Keith and I couln't figure out why he ate his chile all the way to the stem. All the seeds, all the chile flesh.

    I used to rate Mexican restaurants by the quality of their rellenos. I had the relleno dinner last night, and it was very good. Not quite the best I've eaten, but close. The salsa served with the chips is very good, the salsa bar full of variety and flavors from tomato and tomatillo, pico de gallo, to pretty hot.

    I've had guacamole twice in the past 10 days and liked it. Made fresh, delivered up with good chips. I had tortilla soup for lunch one day. Good ingredients, fresh. We always come to El Sarape when we're in town.

    after ten years I still can't wait to go back!: very good, high quality and authentic mexican food and service. five star.
