User Rating: 2 out of 5 starsA few weeks ago, I bought a 2007 PT Cruiser, partly because on the windshield it said, "32 mpg." The other reason was it is a very cool vehicle. After my first trip to Phoenix, I calculated an overall mileage of 22 mpg. Now, I know that the mileage I get will not be the EPA numbers, but I would have been ecstatic with 28 mpg. The vehicle I traded was a 1995 Ford Explorer with 275,000 miles. The most recent trip I made with that vehicle yielded 24 mpg...for the identical trip with similar conditions. I thought I was trading UP in mpg.
I love the vehicle...it rides great, and it is very comfortable. But the...OK, I'll call it fraud, is not a good way to do business. EPA figures for highway for the 2007 PT states 26, NOT 32. No PT Cruiser has ever had a number higher than 26 for highway mileage.
As a minor error, the salesperson said that the vehicle had ABS, but with drum rear brakes, it does not.
I am preparing a report to the Better Business Bureau and the FTC depending how Fisher responds to my complaint to them.

I had a meeting with the sales manager, and he was unwilling to do more than buy my next three tanks of gas. I guess I'll make formal complaints.

Had a discussion with the general manager. We came to an amicable settlement. I'm glad that they were willing to listen and address my concerns.-

I had work done on my Jeep and it was leaking oil in the part they just fixed. They said the part was not under warranty.According to other experts , they say this should not happen if put in correctly. A few months later other parts in that area were falling apart,was it a coincidence, It seemed rather odd that many things wre breaking down once they had their mechanics touching it. This car has been meticulously cared for always and only 65K miles. I would not recommend my friends or family to go here, way over priced and you get this bad feeling inside when you leave it there. Consumers beware!!!!!!
