This is a great place my husband my daughter and I decided to try this place out we're glad we did the service was very good before we even walked in they opened the doors for us the staff was friendly and the atompshere is really nice the food is good we'll be going back real soon
Absolutely fabulous: We have been going to the restaurant and critiquing it for the last 4 years now. And everytime we go it has not changed. everything is superb from the food to the servers to the atmosphere. Definitely the place to go on any day of the week. We have never had any problems other then a little bit of a longer wait time. If you go you definitely need to try the chicken lettuce wraps and their bbq ribs!! I love the fact that they have a head chef who checks the majority of the food as it leaves the cooking line to ensure quality. Check it out!!! Also for deserts check out there creme brulee which has yet to be beaten by any other place I have eaten at, except maybe Marco Polo.
Boring, Below Average Dining: Go here if you want safe, uninspired food with animal print decor.
The service was confusingly schizophrenic and mediocre at best. The server was chipper one moment, then irritated the next. He was consistently absent-minded. We had to ask for utensils, and even then they didn't arrive until after the appetizer. All 4 appetizer dishes were soiled (we're talking food bits) and though replacements were requested, they dirty ones never left our table and clean ones never arrived.
More examples? Sure. One of our friends received a second glass of beverage without asking, but it was wrong. Not even the same color (ice tea instead of Sprite). Then later after asking for more, it never arrived.
Being busy is no excuse for poor service, ever. Especially in this type of establishment. The service we received was worse than a good fast food place (like In-n-Out).
Then there's the food. It barely saved the evening from an absolute disaster by being just OK. The menu lacks any theme other than more animal print. The Elephant Bar website is wrong. Their menu, along with their food, is "forgettable." The dessert closed out the night on the exact same note.
We tried to be patient and nice, but ultimately we felt our 15% tip was VERY generous.
Conclusion: This place could disappear and no one would notice. What's there to miss?!
