this place gets packed like crazy. people every where and very hard to navigate and getting to the bar can be and adventure in itself.. so if you like very crowed places and that might cause fire hazard...lol. then check this place out.
Hotel Congress and Night Club: Hotel Congress doubles as a night club for many Tucsonans. Some nights are more subdued, offering a nice place to grab a few drinks and chat with friends. Other nights display Club Congress' wild side. There is only a $4.00 cover on these special nights, and there is an enormous variety of drink specials. Many weekends, Club Congress has a variety of well known bands and singers; from jazz and blues to rock and folk.Highly recommended, and in walking distance from many other fun bars/clubs on Congress Street! If you're staying at the hotel, you will be treated to one of Tucson's historic, fully restored buildings. The Congress Cafe and Restaurant is above average, a great breakfast menu! Hotel Congress Rocks!
Poor: This is not the place to be when there is a band playing. It is quite apparent that the owners could care less about the safety of their patrons and would just rather concern themselves with making as much money as possible. It's over-crowded to the point where you can hardly move, let alone dance and it is a fire-hazard waiting to happen. However, the drinks are reasonable... But I will never go there again.
