I bought a 2005 Ford Ranger in March of 2006. There was about 5 miles on the truck. Since I bought it, the AC blew hot air at times, the rack and pinion had to be replaced and also the transmission. Many countless things were wrong with this truck.. It was clearly a lemon. The service dept never could fix the problems. Now that the trucks factory warrantee had expired I was getting attitude with a requested rental when I brought my truck in to have the ac looked at now that it was not working AT ALL. I had the extended warrantee, that clearly was not good enough to make sure I was taken care of. The service men, and the service manger should be fired!!!. Jim, Take a look at the way you run your business and your customers. That very day I was treated so poorly, I went to a different dealership and traded that truck. I am writing you to let you know how unfairly I was treated since 2006 to date. Its over I am finished with your company once and for all. I will never buy a Ford again and I will never be back to your countless dealerships again.. I want you to know. I will spread experience with everyone I encounter and anyone that will listen. Your company has clearly lost their edge on customer service. Since I have started my mission on letting people know how I was treated, I have found I am not alone.. Your company has made a name for itself for poor customer service.. Good luck with that..
(I sent a copy of this to Jim's Office but I am sure will fall on a deaf ear)
Our car broke down in Tucson, 650 miles from home. I called Jim Click Ford. They arranged for the towing of our car, diagnosed the problem, repaired it and had us on the road in less than three hours. They are very professional, friendly and committed to good service. If they were closer to Alamosa, CO, they would get all my business.

Friendly, didn't fix a thing: I took my diesel to them 4 time and they had it for several days each time and never fixed any of the problems. The had excuses for everything, and just turned off the check engine light without doing anything. I took it to another dealer and the first thing they did was show me my air filter was muddy! I mean it looked like it'd been sopped around in a mud puddle. For the net 2 weeks that Jim Click had my Ford with the same problem, no one ever checked the air filter?!? And on top of that the turbo turned out to be bad and was replaced (at the other dealer) and the other problems as well. I asked for my $100 deductible back because I feel like they never did anything- they even left me to go on a 3-week trip with no airbags because they couldn't get the right part for over a month. Several trips, several attempts and they failed to do anything but keep my truck in their lot. The front end customer service was great, but the actual work was never done. I'm never going back even though they're close.

Well Kerry, that's interesting. It appears the Rangers have not improved much over the years. I purchased one in early 1994, a 1993 model, new, with a 3.0L v6. After about 35K miles, it burned a quart of oil every 1000 miles (NOT leaking). The right front wheel could not be properly adjusted for camber. The ball joints failed after 28K miles-NOT a warranty repair! I brought it to a local dealer (northern Nevada, not in Tucson) who told me that basically that they weren't going to do anything about it. I took it to a different small town where no one knew me and traded it in on another vehicle. I'm not impressed with Fords.
I always thought FORD stood for "Fix or repair Daily"
