My wife and I have been eating there for more than a decade and the food is pleasingly consistent. Now that we have a kid, we still eat there and it's great to have our two-year old treated like a king (their children's menu is good). I would die without the double havarti cheeseburger (and all the hamburger lovers that I have taken there agree that it is wonderful), but my wife is really obsessed by all of their vegetarian dishes. Her overall favorite is the Huevos Rancheros. It tastes incredibly fresh- like they grew the tomatoes themselves. Other must-haves include the tahini eggplant salad and any quiche that they dream up. Service is always great and friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. We could eat there every day.
Horrifically over-priced. A tuna melt, fries and diet pepsi, for lunch ...$16 after tip. The food isnt bad, but not worth that markup. Atmoshere of a early 80's breakfast joint.
Why the hype?
At least 5 other locally owned cafes come to mind I would recommend before this over priced joint.
Believe it or not, my doctor recommended Eclectic Cafe to me since they use such fresh ingredients and use wheat crusts on pizza's.
I did try the pizza and it was wonderful. The crust was not like cardboard like I expected a wheat crust to be and all the ingredients on the pizza were fresh.
I will definately be going back again!
