1893 Steakhouse

This is a fine restaurant designed, built, and run by it’s chef, a third-generation native of Arizona, and decorated by his wife’s terrific artwork. This restaurant can compete with any fine dining anywhere. The food is beautifully and deliciously prepared, in ample amounts. The service from the staff is excellent. The desserts, made by the chef’s wife, are decadent in their deliciousness. The tables have beautiful and clean linen and candles. When I ate there I asked for small portions, being on a diet and knowing the food was too good. That couldn’t happen because Chef Bryan has very high standards and wouldn’t serve less to anybody. f something was wrong with the meal he would remove it instantly and correct it. You cannot go wrong eating here. People drive from Payson and Show Low and Pinetop to eat here. Ask anyone in Heber. This is the best thing that has happened to Heber.

THIS restaurant is clearly Arizona’s best-kept secret!!

During my 26-year Naval Career, my wife and I traveled and lived all over the world. This gave us the opportunity to eat in many interesting and fine restaurants. Never did we eat in an establishment where the cuisine was tastier nor more elegantly served!! How amazing to find this pleasant surprise tucked away, miles from a major metropolis, up on the Mogollon Rim of Arizona!

How did the little community of Heber ever rate such a splendid restaurant and stellar chef? The people of that town and those who live anywhere within 100 miles are indeed fortunate.

As a native of AZ I have always searched for a good family place to eat up in the COOL country. I found 1893 steakhouse several years ago and found the service as well as the was food excellent. When I took my grandchildren there they were welcomed with open arms by the owner and the kids loved the food. Last year I took my friend Ed there for dinner. He ordered the Steak Dianne and declared it the best he had ever eaten. I give the 1893 Steakhouse in Heber a 5 star rating.
