This friendly cafe is an informal, relaxed family-type restaurant where locals and tourists mingle and dine. The menu features their famous "Navajo Taco," in which familiar taco makings are piled high on a big round fry bread. Delicious and filling. There are lots of other choices from burgers and salads to fried chicken and even steak. A must-stop for regulars to the Monument Valley area.

Love their Navajo sandwiches, Navajo ham or try the Navajo beef sandwiches. The fry bread holding the sandwich together is outstanding, fluffy yet crispy.
Enjoyed the cowboy atmosphere and the customers are all locals and know that their restaurant is the best in the area. Sure there are the local Holiday Inn but you cannot beat that local flavor and the Golden Sands restaurant experience. Truly a wonderful place to visit, the Monument Valley and to experience a satifying meal is just the cherry on the top.

Always a nice place to take the family & friends!: The food there is wonderful! Especially the mashed potatoes, which are real & made daily. The service is great, they are prompt & kind. One of the best restaurants in the area of Kayenta. The ambiance of the cafe is great, lots of old pictures of the area, lots of Native American pictures & regalia. This cafe, as a local, I highly recommend giving them your patronage.
