I really like the stores wide variety of products, but i have sometimes come across customer service that was sub par. Most of the time, however, the customer service is good and helpful.
I was so happy to finally get to this market as I've heard so much about it in the past. I was overjoyed by the fact that the entire produce section is ORGANIC. It is my dream to open my own similar healthy foods market some day and the plan was to have all ORGANIC produce so it was like seeing my own dream come true.
All the workers my boyfriend and I spoke to were friendly. We are not rich Sedona dwellers (but contrarily of very modest income), but found the prices to be comparable to W.F. so I don't know what the previous reviewers are talking about.
People, prices are going to be high in health food stores, restaurants & markets because a) if you eat healthier, you'll be healthier and spend tons less (if anything) on healthcare (duh), b) to grow items ethically & organically costs because there are no preservatives to keep it...well, preserved and thus fresher spoils quicker, and c)"made in America" means you pay more. If more people shopped for their health & well-being (especially since we only get one body & one life), prices would drop. The sooner we figure that out, the smarter (and healthier) we'll be.
We ordered the smoked turkey sandwich and it was tasty but would have been better had the baguette been toasted. The barista was super cool and brought us some extra green drink he had made while we waited for our sandwichs and gave us some info on goings on in the city that day.
I loved the Raw foods section in the refrigerated section. The cooked foods & desserts also looked divine. Coffee was tasty. They use Greenware, compostable corn cups (yeah I know, good or bad depending on your chosen "green" battle).
While my store will kick butt, this one was a great model for what I'd like my own to be. It's my passion & dream to create a place where I can make money to feed my family while at the same time providing the ultimate nourishment for people of all income levels.
Apparently, the market doesn't do so well around this time and workers are worried about layoffs.
You know if we patronized these types of stores more and purchased the cleaner products, the earth & it's inhabitants would be healthier and wealthier in the end.
My recommendation: Bypass Fry's & Safeway and do your body, mind & spirit a favor!
This place has some really good grub. Sandwiches and daily specials have always been good. Deserts are awesome. A bit high as the boutique/natural grocery stores go, but it is in Sedona.
