These people who own this place need to understand truth in advertising explained to them. Outside (and inside) the premises signs are displayed advertising Budweiser Long Necks for $2 between 4-6 PM. After entering and taking seats in the bar area around 5:15 PM (not at the bar) we ordered several long necks. After being served the waiter informed us that the price would be $2.75 because they were not purchased directly AT the bar. We examined the signs and found no restriction regarding the price. Subsequently we informed the waiter of our finding whereby he consulted with the bartender (a female). Her response was that if we wanted the advertised price we would have to come to the bar and purchase the beer. The waiter joked the requirement was "in the fine print". We finished our drinks and were about to order another round and then go into the restaurant for dinner. We again asked for the advertised price and once again the waiter consulted with the female bartender who indignantly responded we had to come to the bar to get the advertised price. We then informed the waiter that if we were not charged the advertised price we would forgo the next round and eat dinner elsewhere. He then shared that with the female bartender and then came back to tell us "she did not care". Prior to leaving we asked to see the manager. When we informed the manager of what was going she put her hands over her face as if to say "or no not again". She apologized but did nothing to correct the situation as apparently she choose not to challenge the bartender who may have been related to the owner. Needless to say this bar has no common sense whatsoever. They choose to loose a drink round and our dinner business because an ignorant bartender refused to honor an advertised (and unrestricted) price. How stupid is that?
The steak is not fresh. The smell is weird and bad. And it is overcooked (maybe intentionally to cover the unfreshness). The only positive I see is the freshly baked bread, which is very delicious.
There are very few places I would say the extra price is ALMOST worth it, but this is one of them. The food and drink selection is large and the meals are worth the visit. I've never had bad customer service and I have gone many times.. and now that I think about it may go again this week. :)
