We've eaten at Judi's twice now. The first time we went there we ate on the outdoor patio, and it had real ambiance! It was nice to be sitting outside with okay food, and good company.
BUT the second time we went there we ate inside, and I have to say I was less than impressed. In fact it seemed quite stuffy in a snotty sort of way. The local's may like it but we found we didn't get a whole lot of food for our money, and it was quite expensive. If we're going to spend that kind of money we at least expect it to be good, and enough of it. I can't remember what we had when we were there either time, but to me, that goes to show you how un-impressed we were with the place. Eating outside on the patio is warm and inviting, but inside? Skip it, if you're asking my opinion. There has to be better places than this in Sedona. We're going back to Sedona in October of 2008 and I can tell you one place that won't be on our list of places to eat....Judi's.
Great restaurant, but the ribs were steamed. We had a half rack of ribs and the pork medallions in a mushroom sauce. We also had the baked sweet potato, steamed veggies were included on the side (tasty and fresh). All of the items were fresh and well prepared. But their claim of the "worlds best" ribs falls a bit short. The membrane had been removed from the back of the ribs, which is good, the sauce was on the side, but flavor was that of steamed meat. Texas slow smoked over real oak would have been much better.
Very Excellent food, I enjoy all the entrees they have, but I especially enjoy their Fish and Chips on Friday nights, their waffle fries are excellent.
