One of my faves: I always make a point to stop here when in Jemez even if it's just to have a cup of their wonderful coffee and stare at the amazingly beautiful view of the mountain across the street. A great place to have a laid back and healthy bite. Don't go if you're in a hurry, this is a place to relax and take in the view. The inn is a great respite too, beautifully decorated and a comfortable night's sleep. Highly recommended.

Service ruins the experience: The food is pretty good, but unfortunately the staff does not care whether you are satisfied with their service or not. There are very few choices of eateries in this quaint, beautiful village, so you are basically a captive audience. The menu is extremely limited - not pleasing for picky eaters. Beware if you're a party of 6 - you'll over-tax their abilities and they'll tip themselves well, even if they don't deserve it; you won't have a choice and the management won't care if you're not happy about it. I would not recommend this place, unless maybe no one else is in the restaurant, and the staff might be able to handle your table. I personally won't be back.
