We just ate at Angelina's for the first time tonight. OMG. It is the best restaurant ever. We currently live in San Diego, but are from back east. If my mother read this she would be so offended, but their food is better than my Italian mama's. Whoever wrote the last review must be pretty shallow. Don't assume they sold the place just ask. What idiots. The staff was amazing. We asked a zillion questions. The place is owned by a mother, her son and daughter. The lady who served us was the son's wife. The son is the chef and I guess the daughter does work there too but was out of town visiting her boyfriend. I didn't know having a life was a crime. The son/chef came to our table and talked to us about Jersey, and the Yankees, all while we ate the most amazing chicken marsala, and chicken parm that we have ever had. The only mistake that they made was that the waitress thought that I said chicken pom, not parm. So initailly I got the wrong order, but that was fixed instantly and we got free dessert. Yea that sounds really "uncaring to me". We will be back and will tell everyone how amazing our secret little restaurant is. To the "love italian food" people. Maybe you shouldn't go back, no one needs your kind of carma. I hear Stoffers has a good lasagne. You could make it at home for yourself, make sure it's the right temp, and wonder if your neighbors have sold their house but haven't told you. Get a life. Angelina's YOU ROCK!!!!!
We've been dining at Angelina's for years, and have found the food to be among the best Italian food we've EVER eaten. And now they are open on Sundays!
Everything was always fine, until lately that is.
We go to LHC on week-ends to visit family and always go to Angelina's. The young lady that owns Angelina's has always been very friendly, always speaking to us each time we dined there, and the food was always delicious. The last few week-ends we've tried to speak to the owner, but were told she wasn't available. This happened 3 times in a row - so we think perhaps they've sold the place and didn't want people to know. It would make sense because the waitstaff was very unfriendly and the food not up to par. The food was lukewarm, and it's been that way the last few times we've eaten there.
I am so sorry to see this great restaurant fall into such uncaring hands. I doubt we'll go back...
this is my moms id so dont ask for twelve and a half years i have been living my family has gone to Angelina's when we visit Havasu. The food is so great it's the main reason we visit. it cant be beat

I can assure you, the Grippo family has not sold the restaurant - the same 100% Italian family that started it 19 years ago is still the same family laboring over their handmade dishes every morning starting at 9am. You are correct, though - the owner has not been present on a few weekends in the last couple months. Rest assured, however, she is there 95% of the time seeing that every aspect of your dining experience is unparalleled. She puts her blood sweat and tears into this restaurant from the minute she wakes up to the wee hours of the night. Believe me when I say she would sell her soul before she sold this restaurant. I think it's the best food that has ever hit my lips, and it only gets better with age!
