Cajun Home Cookin': While this isn't my favorite place to get cajun, this is certainly a down home kind of place. My Dad knows the owners. Their business is across the parking lot from another of my Dad's friends. So, it really is "down home." I ordered Shrimp Creole. The shrimp was cooked to perfection. The sauce, while a little more tomatoey (if that's a word) than I expected, was pleasant. The dish came off as comfort food, which cajun usually does not do. The rest of our party enjoyed their meals - etouffe, po'boys, etc. Dessert was just as pleasant - bread pudding. The service was just right. More comfort. The price is along the lines of a fine cajun restaurant, which I don't consider Cajun Kitchen. Worth another shot. We certainly didn't leave hungry or miserable.
