The food isn't anything creative, but its good solid italian fare, not too heavy and tasty. We were impressed with the service our first visit, but disappointed our second. The prices are very reasonable. I would go back, and have recommended it to friends before.
Terrible Service!: From the moment we walked in, the service was terrible. The hostesses were gossiping and got rude when we interrupted them so we could be seated. When they finally did seat us, it was right next to the kitchen, between two tables of screaming children. All of the waiters crowded around the order computer next to the kitchen, and gave us dirty looks. They had plenty of time to sit around and chat, but seemed rushed and bothered when they actually had to serve customers. The food was mediocre. Nothing creative or exciting, just your basic Italian food.
Then, once we had finished our entrees, we were planning on ordering dessert drinks. It took our waiter 15 minutes to realize that we were done and offer to take our plates. Another 10 minutes passed before I flagged him down to get the check. The smell of rancid food and dirty dishes from being so close to the kitchen was making my husband too sick to get a drink.
It wasn't just us, the waiters and hostesses were rude to EVERYONE.
Terrible experience. I will never go there again and I would never reccomend it to any friends. In fact, I would warn against going.
Trombino's: This Italian Restaurant is one of the best, if not THE best Italian restaurants in Albuquerque. The food is declious and so much to choose from No matter what you order, it's GOOD. The people that run the restaurant and the people that work there are all very nice and make you feel like you are getting star service. I've been here several times, and will continue to come back a whole lot more.
