UK visitor. Tried Quality Inn location. Friendly efficient staff. Great breakfast. Wanted something to eat when in Old Town. Pleased to see Plaza Cafe - again not disappointed

For many years this was my "first meal" stop when returning to New Mexico---eating green chile stew and sopapillas at the counter is exactly the cure to airplanes, driving, and the insults of travel. Yes, the cafe is a bit pricier than it needs to be and yes it is a natural "tourist trap". Yet the staff has always been friendly.
Yesterday the family and I had breakfast there. The food was very tasty and sitting at the counter gave us the chance to interact with longtime waitstaff--friendly and pretty attentive, given that the place was jam packed. We had an excellent and memorable meal. So I still heartily recommend the Plaza.
