The most popular spots in this place are the sunny back patio that is surrounded by flowers, and the chatty bar area. Food is served with a Southwestern twist. Try the Smoked Chicken Nachos, a hefty pile of chips topped with smoke-infused bits of chicken, cheese, guacamole, black beans, chives, jalapenos, sour cream and fresh, chunky salsa. The bar is open noon-10 or 11 p.m.
I've been there twice now. The first time was awesome, but after the treatment I had this evening I definitely won't back! After 20 minutes, I had to go to the bar to get my own water. My margarita sat on the bar that entire time while the ice melted into the drink (we could see it from our table but were unsure if it was ours until we saw our waiter FINALLY grab it and take it to us). My order was wrong and my husband was finished eating before they brought out my correct order. I told the waiter to forget it, but they brought it out anyway. They charged me for it, so I had to put it in a to-go box since we were ready to leave. I've never left a restaurant without eating, especially after driving 35 minutes to get there. They totally ruined our night. I won't be back!!!
We have been there once for dinner, once for breakfast, and once for 'takeout'. Each time the service had suffered. For dinner when we asked for the check the waiter disappeared - turns out he was showing a cute new waitress around the restaurant. I had to practically tackle him to get our check. For breakfast all I ordered was coffee and a muffin - they were out of muffins so I got coffee cake. How it can take over 10 minutes to cut a piece of coffee cake and serve it is beyond me, especially since they were not busy. People had to keep asking the server for coffee and this was 8am - coffee cups should always be filled at this time of day. For my take out order, the waiter took my order, bagged it, and took it to the front register - then he ran in the back to get some other person's order and rang them up while I stood there like a dummy. The food is OK but nothing to write home about and the service is bad (not terrible).
Here are 5 stars from a tourist for Harry's great breakfast. The pancakes are unique and delicious. The cinnamon rolls eclipse all others. Service was good and I cannot imagine a better breakfast.
We skipped the free motel breakfast to eat here and are glad we did.
