we've been to santa fe four years in a row and everytime we go I always hope chopstix is still open. I get the sweet and sour pork and my husband gets the lemon chicken, yum,its so good, can't wait to go again in March... Hey chopstix why don't you open a place in San Antonio Tx?
Although the couple who run this restaurant are cute as buttons, the food was terrible. It is kept in warming pans "buffet style" instead of being made fresh, with additional vegetables being added time to time to make it look fresh again. The sushi is poorly-rolled and fell apart before I even got it home. The wonton soup was filled with LOTS of vegetables that were bigger than spoon-sized making it more vegetable soup than wonton soup, and the wontons were rolled in a doughy rapper instead of a traditional wonton wrapper and so were totally mushy and mealy. The hot n' sour soup was dipped from some big vat and heated in a microwave and it was broth-based--not thickened at all. The chicken with mushrooms was merely "fine" and certainly not hot or fresh. I was really disappointed with this restaurant.
Nice little walk-up or take-out place, friendly staff. Very helpful, 8 - 10 options for lunch, they always have at least one vegetarian option and were willing to fresh-make another if we wanted.
Nice because they're open during that dreaded 3 - 5 PM down time when many Santa Fe restaurants are closed!!!
