Stopped by there for breakfast when getting a motorcycle tire changed at the BMW place across the way. Huevos Rancheros was good, green chile sauce kicked ***! I'll stop there again when I'm in the area!

Horseman's Haven is NOT a place I would reccomend eating at, due to the fact that I found HAIRS in my BURRITO and they would not even give me a refund after telling me over the phone that they would. Not only that, my friend had also ordered a burrito and as soon as I found the hairs, she disposed of her burrito, not knowing what to expect within its contents. Needless to say, she was sickened and did not want to finish her food. Can you blame her? I just wish that whatever idiot answered the phone would've known that the Horseman's Haven has a NO REFUND policy. In any case, the food was watery and dissapointing, even without the hairs.

Poor review, even if you ignore the bad grammar. Horseman's Haven has never served me a bad meal, and I've been a once-a-week patron for over twenty years. The #2 green chili is the greatest in the entire state, and i have yet to hear a local bad-mouth the place. Perhaps the no-refund policy is because nobody has ever asked for a refund? This review sounds a little like a retialiation from one of the few competitors in this niche fast food market to me. I won't venture to name any names because even if this review was placed by a competitor, i've probably eaten there too... Yet another reason why i frequent Horseman's so much... There really is no competition that matches their quality.

Horseman's Haven is of excellent quality (even the classiest 4-star restaurants make mistakes sometimes). It's cozy and comfortable, the waitstaff is friendly, and the food is amazing. I live 75 miles away from the restaurant and I take as many opportunities as I can to drive up there to have a meal.

I have eaten at the Horseman's Haven many times and do so every time I am in Santa Fe. Their "fare" is New Mex comfort food and is excellent! I have never had a bad meal there at all. Yes, Level II is almost too hot to eat but I try it each time any way. This is from a fire breather who loves extra hot peppers like the redsavina habanero, too. Their "regular green" is some of the best you can get!
