I have lived here most of my adult life had eaten at many if not all of the restaurants here in Las Vegas,New Mexico. Like most of us,I learn what the body needs to survive in a somewhat healthy way of eating. With the 'economy' in its current state, we as a community have to learn or reteach ourselves how to conserve our resources. In order for us,as individuals,to make these personal judgements must decide what and who to support in what we do in our day to day lives,which include eating.Correct?...To go out to eat to treat yourself and/or family once in a while is an experience to be remembered and treasured no matter what it may be.Correct?...Conserve is what,to not use for a later use?To eat healthy is to,what?Primarily to stay away from animal 'FATS'.!!By 1st hand knowledge of this restaurant,the food is prepared in manteca(pig fat/grease/lard) and given in LARGE portions. Large enough for the average person who eats at this place to leave or waste no less than 20% of the whole meal. The average obese person to eat at this place is not be able to eat the whole plate 80% of the time. Two or three 55 gallon barrels of food alone are wasted on a daily basis.(Wasted being not eaten by humans after being thrown by humans.)The prices are not bad for the AMOUNT of food forced upon the customer,(Try asking for a half order of ...biscuts and gravy or nachos.)only to be wasted by a person who was hungry enough to eat a SERVING of food! These employers even leave demoralizing and offensive remarks written on papers taped on the equipment and even written on the equipment and appliances for their VALUED employees. So valued they cannot even speak to them as adults and have to resort to these childish behaviors.There have even been actual fist fights in their kitchen and elsewhere on their property during business hours.Its like a dine-in Jerry Springer episode.

This restraunt, has by far, the very best New Mexican style food to be served in ALL of New Mexico. No exaggeration. The food is always fresh, serving abundant portions and is moderatly priced. Everything is home made and not from a can.
