This course is challenging with good elevation changes. It seemed like an awful lot of blind tee shots, but nothing that couldn't be navigated with there onboard GPS.There is some waiting involved so plan ahead. Also, play this course now because in the future it looks like there will be alot more houses to distact from the views. Note to staff: after 18 holes of walking up and down your fairways I really would have liked to drive my cart to the car. Not carried my clubs all the way back to load them.
We just completed a outing to Mesquite and Falcon Ridge was our No. 1 pick of the local courses, since we had played the course in 2007 and had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, this years experience was less than acceptable. The front nine was great, and finished in 2 hours, then we hit a brick wall. There were 3 groups waiting on No. 10 tee, and 1 on the course and 1 on the green. We waited 1 hour to tee off on No. 10, and it only got worse from that point on, and ended up giving up on No. 13 after 2 more hours. Course management stated they allowed 5.5 hours per round, if you plan to play make sure make your delay concerns known. We had driven over 1500 miles for our Mesquite vacation, and all the course offered us was a free hat or a 9 hole replay, which was unacceptable to us. All the other courses in Mesquite were great!
Just play last week (March 2008) and had a great time. Love the GPS on the carts. The workers were great the course was in excellent shape.
