AWFUL PLACE!! DO NOT SIGN YOUR CHILD UP FOR LESSONS HERE!!! Let me tell you no qualified teacher would work for how little they pay! They care only about their $$ not about the quality of instruction they offer. They pay $13-14 per half hour to their teachers. Most teachers in town make $25-30 per half hour, so qualified teachers are not willing to work for FM's terrible pay and therefore their teachers have very little qualifications. Kessler's Music has teachers with Master's degrees, professional experience, and Doctoral degrees. I strongly recommend Kesslers over FM. You'll pay about the same price and the quality of instruction will be far better!
I found that they were very helpful and willing to go the extra mile for me. They showed me around and listened to what I needed so as to find me the one that really felt right for my family. There was no pressure to buy, they were just friendly and let my kids try the different pianos. They didn't mind when I checked the competition before I came back and made the purchase. They were very helpful and listened to make sure I was satisfied when I left. I will go back. They even offer lessons which would be great for the kids.
I had heard from a friend not to go to Family Music because they do not make any effort to help you. They were close to my house so I decided to just go in to grab a guitar book. I walked in to an empty store and nobody even looked up to acknowledge me.I stood there looking through the books with not even a hello. I should have listened to my friend. If good customer service is what your looking for...go somewhere else. Steer clear of Family Music Center! Weak customer service in a hospitality run city.
