Caretr is the best shop I have been to period. Their staff are very knowledgeable and always friendly. I was shopping around for 2 race bikes and looked everywhere...times are tough. I went to Carter and told them my price. At first it was very high but i told them i have been shopping around and that i did not want to "play the game." The sales rep got the sales manager for me and he actually listened to me and worked for me. he admitted that I could save a few bucks going out of town but he broke it down for me. It actually came out to be the same price! with the customer service I got there it was a unbelievable deal!!!
They earned a customer for life!!!
These guys are complete frauds. They try to sell you items that come stock with new a motorcycle, such as the toolkit and rear seats. They service dept is horrible. They will bill you for oil changes that they don't do, will charge you for new tires and put on used. They will try to make you pay for warranty work. They have been and are currently under investigation for fraud by the county and state. In particular watch out for Rich and Sal, they are the ultimate in double dealing scumbags.
I stopped there to match up a throttle cable for a 88' Suzuki quad. It wasn't the original as the carb had been changed but I had the frayed cable assy in hand and figured it shouldn't be too difficult to match it to something that would work if not an exact match. I was told where to find the parts counter by a very helpful young man lining up new quads in the parking lot. When I walked inside I saw three salespeople standing by new some new bikes talking with one glancing at me for a moment and then turning back to the conversation. While walking towards the parts counter I passed a young lady behind another counter on her cell who turned her back to me as I passed as if to make clear she didn't want to be interrupted. At the parts counter I was met by another very young lady to whom I explained my need for a new cable as I put it on the counter top. She seemed to look at it as if she had no idea what it was. After my explaining that I just needed something close to it she looked up at me and asked if I knew where so-and-so performance was as they could probably make one up for me. Now this was not rocket science. This was a throttle cable for a 88' 250R Suzuki quad that had a very common mod done with the carb swap. A young man appeared from behind and didn't seem to be very happy for some reason. After I repeated my story to him he stepped back and said,"looks like a 99' 400...., what year did you say?". I repeated 88' Suzuki 250R. He stood there stareing at it for minute and concluded they didn't have anything like that. Neither one touched it or picked it up much less taking it in the back to see if they had anything close. I'm not from Vegas and actually didn't know the name of the place I was in. All I saw was Suzuki and parts on the signs outside. I looked at the guys hat and saw the name Carter. I said thanks and walked out. And I came to the conclusion that I must have walked onto a movie set of a ATV/motorcycle dealer or some money laundering front business because except for the guy in setting up the quads, knowbody inside seemed to have any idea they were there to sell things.
