| About: | The Cafe Blue Restaurant is where students of Le Courdon Bleu College of Culinary Arts get to perfect their craft. The establishment is also completely student run. Guests who arrive early can get kitchen-side seating and watch the students at work. The school focuses on American, French and Italian cuisine. Because the students take turns at all stations, you will often be seated by the chefs themselves, which means the service is reliable and top-notch. The food is also very reasonably priced considering the high quality. Unfortunately, it's only open select hours and reservations are highly recommended. |

The food and service in the restaurant are of a poor standard. The only except able item on the menu is the duck confit. The Tart tatin that comes along with it is not a tart tatin and the flavor lacks. Any tip given dose not go to the server or any of the staff. it is put into a fund to help certin students that fall into a catorgy and are unable to pay.
As for the school itself. There is no respect for the students in the majority of the staff. the student body consists mostly of immature students between the age of 18 and 23, and ex cons. There are a few carrier changers but they make a small percentage. Administration takes no responsibility in salving student problems. Even the head of the school will do nothing. There are a few shining stars on the staff. your best bet is to surround yourself around the female teachers. Take everything that is said with a shot of penicillin. Any thing you need clarified look in your text books. Unless you have questions regarding baking and pastry. The instructors that fall into that category are always willing to answer questions and help out.
As for the student housing stay away! the students are gouged for every penny. the students are not screened like they are told. they take no regard to matching the students. if you ask for non smoking you will be paired with smokers. overages are a big deal. It is a bad situation all around
It is my advice that anyone thinking about eating at or going to the school to get an education stay away. It is a waste of your money and time.
