User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWell I can't say much about the sales department however Steve the instrument tech guy is the best. I took my sax in to have my broken neck screw removed after Kessler told to come back in 3 days when tech was there because it was going to be extensive work which may require the whole neck outlet to be replaced. Well as soon I took it to Sam Ash, Steve dropped what he was doing(trombone work) had me take a seat and began looking at my sax.He had me in in out of store within 15 minutes after fixing my sax and also adjusting it and only charged me a fraction of what Kessler was going to charge me. Thanks much Steve you get my buisness for now on.

i work for samash (somewhere in the US) and im not going to lie, their customer service is especially weak. not to mention they hire the biggest dolts to sell you items way above cost. i'm talking 100 too even 400% above cost (guitar center too). the people they are have little or no experience and are trained to sell the items the store stocks. they gather your telephone number, address, and email to send you their junk mail and call to inform you about up coming clinics based on the item you bought. now i've never heard of someone refusing their business because they wouldn't give them the information. that dude is either lying or said something else. that will get you fired pretty quick. long story short, its better to buy your instruments and gear online off ebay or craigslist, you're 75% more likely to get a better deal than retail.

I deleted my comments because I've gotten my money's worth, but trust me when I say that the chick with a lip piercing and tattooes would NOT sell me the $20 cable, just to set the record straight. I'm a working old fart with a wife and 4 kids and have no reason to lie, some stories you just cant make up! :)
