My granddaughter and I were scheduled to fly out of Vegas Sunday morning but our flight was cancelled. We were put up in Doubletree hotel by the airlines. They gave us a voucher to stay at the hotel for free. Upon checking in I was asked for a credit card and asked why they needed a credit card when the airlines were paying for the hotel and I was then told in case of say I use the phone in the room or if we tear up the room and so forth. I was not told that they would automatically withdraw the money from my account. Today I Checked my banking account on line and found the hotel took $50.00 from my account. My granddaughter and I did not tear up the room, I did not use their phone and did not even make coffee which was available. I called the hotel to ask about this withdrawal of $ 50.00 from my account and the gentleman I spoke to denied taking the money from my account, BUT, he did say the money would be placed back in my account in approx. 10 days. So if they deny taking the money out why would he tell me it will back in my account in 10 days. According to my bank, my account is $50.00 less. I will never stay at a hotel that lies to it's customers. This is lousy customer service. And why does it take 10 days to put the funds back into my account. The hotel already knows that there is no reason to charge us for anything. I am sure they have already inspected the room, (afterall we checked out at about 7:40 a.m. yesterday)and I did not use the phone, coffee etc. So why can't the funds be replaced immediately. I do not like being lied to, or taken advantage of.
Loved the Sleep Well Beds: Awesome hotel, the sleep well beds almost kept me from getting out of bed and we were in VEGAS!!!! Clean, quiet, and a free shuttle to and from MGM!!
