Claiming a NYC style deli/menu u walk in expecting a good lunch. What you get for the money is pitiful in this town. The high priced super small sandwiches dont even come with fries?? What a joke. U have to pay a extra 2 bucks for a small paper plate of fries? With other great deli's in the area (old tyme, wiese) right down the road u wonder how this place it still even open.
This place rocks. Seems it is favored by a lot of local regulars as everybody seemed to be on a first name basis with the owners and crew.
I had a roast beef sandwich where the roast beef was actually cooked right. Not over cooked with no flavor but NY medium rare cooked (red to pink). The wife had a meatball sub, I think she is still eating it for left overs it was so damn big. She raved about it. Their pastrami sandwich looked pretty good too, the guy at the next table had one and it was piled high with strami, served on Rye with swiss and mustard.
Yea some chips or frys included with the sandwich would be nice, but won't stop me from eating there again.
Bob's over priced deli is more like it. Your 7 dollar sandwich at Bob's doesn't even come with fries. The sandwiches are just OK. The pulled BBQ tastes like it came from a can. Def. a thumbs down! Make ur portions bigger, and bring down ur steep prices BOB!

Haha, this review is right on the money! Im from NYC and went there for a lunch. I ordered a sandwich expecting to be super full and have leftovers when i was done. Just like back home at a regular typical NYC deli which are famous for, surprise "big sandwiches piled high." WRONG! I thought it was a joke when they dropped a flimsy paper plate on my table with a tiny, dry, flavorless sandwich with like 3 slices of meat on it. LOL
