hello,
this comment is those who mind price and treatment. i was in sergios not long ago and sergio himself is rather arrogant and he has no consideration when you are eating. he talked on a cell phone for more then a minute in a boistrous voice. this was inaproriate we thought. as for the food it was good not great good. the price he gets for his plates are very high. not worth it to me and my family. will not recomend or go back. if you want a bargin go to the sicilian cafe right up the road. on 3520 E. tropicana as well the food is exellent. much better then sergs and very reasonably priced. take my advice avoid sergs. unless politness and price dont matter to you.
The food is quite good, but pricy. Coming to the Bay Area, I am familiar with the range of quality Italian with price. The initial service and presentation of the specials was excellent, but felt abandoned by the end of the meal when it took the waiter a good 15 minutes, and he had to be summoned, to check on us for the check. But this may have been an anomolie given the consistency of the good service. My daughter thourougly enjoyed the angel hair pasta appetizer. Deserts were good, and capaccino, excellent. Again, good to excellent food, but a tad pricy for the food. ($70 for the Angel hair pasta appetizer, bruccetto type appetizer, Penne with tomato vodka sauce and salad. Cianti was also good ($10)....
It's not bad at all. Service is very courteous and old Italian style. One of the few places in Vegas I can confidently take my visiting goombah family members to when they're here in town. Sergio's won't ever be hosting any Italian American Heritage parties or anything, but they do make Olive Garden seem as authentically Italian as a Taco Belle.
Open kind of late too. So many places that are more than a mile or so from the strip tend to only be open during family hours, rather than Vegas hours.
I keep forgetting to ask them where they get those amazing Italian olives though.
