Located in the Warm Springs Plaza, on the South-East corner of Warm Springs and Eastern, behind the 7-11.
Mickey's Cues and Brews is a laid back place to play pool. They do have five regulation size Diamond tables, nine regulation size Brunswick tables, and eleven Diamond bar tables, all felted with Simonis playing cloth. They do serve beer at the bar, hence the name, no hard liquor though guys. As well as a small variety of wine, a few malt beverages, soda pop on tap, juices, red bull, and Mountain Valley Spring water. They also have a foosball table, touch master, a golf game, and a few Gamblers Choice gaming machines. So if you are just watching pool, or just want a couple of beers. Please sit and enjoy a conversation with the bartenders.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays they have just added eight-ball and nine-ball leagues. On Wednesdays, they have a nine-ball tournament that starts at 8pm, but you may practice from about 6:30pm until the tournament starts. Which in fact has become a very popular night lately. Over forty players have been recorded to play on a weekly basis, just for tournaments. They also do have House Rules for the tournament, if you'd like to know, please do not hesitate to ask.
Mind you this pool hall is twenty-four hours and is a smoke friendly place.
They also have a few tv's, normally on a sports channel, as well as a juke box, that lightly plays overhead, while you play a few games with your buddies.
If you also have a cue, that needs to get re-tipped. Please don't hesitate to ask the guys, they will refer you to Sean. Whom I might add is an excellent player, and will replace your cue tip at a reasonable price.
So if your tired of playing at loud, noisey, smokey, dark, or just over crowded pool halls, because I was, please go ahead and stop by Mickey's Cues and Brews. They are open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, even on holidays.
Monday Nights are Ladies night. Ladies over the age of twenty-one play for free. If you don't believe me, stop by or give them a call. I might just add, I live in North-West Las Vegas, and I drive to Mickey's just to play/practice. The people that are usually there, are a great bunch.
You could learn a lot from watching these guys play. So stop by anytime, or come watch one of the tournaments.
