Absolutely the BIGGEST rip-off establishment. A disgrace to the Toyota quality name. Avoid them at all costs.
When I was shopping for a Toyota I went to this place and told the salesman what I was looking for. He didn't have what I wanted so he persistently tried to sell me something I had no interest in.
Many people I spoke with that owned the same vehicle I was looking for told me "DO NOT BUY FROM RENO TOYOTA. THEY'LL SCREW YOU OVER." So I bought in Carson City; where I was treated like a real person and not a number.
It's been a few years since I bought my Toyota and now it needs a few repairs. I took my car to this "rip-off" place and each time the small repair was well over $300. All of it mainly labor. (A rear latch handle was $500 and an antenna was over $300.) I couldn't take the car somewhere else because they already charged me over $100 just to tell me it was going to be a ridiculously expensive repair. I wonder if the new h-u-g-e structure next door (the owners are building) has something to do with the fleecing of their customers?
I wanted to share this with others who may be thinking of buying a car or taking their vehicle in for service/repairs to this company that majors in taking advantage of their customers. DON'T DO IT. You'll be so-o-o sorry. I will never go back to them again. For repairs find a good repairman in a private repair shop. It may take a while but it will save you tons of $$ in the long run and keep the money in the local Reno economy.
Horrible experience! It was my first time buying a car and the saleman took advantage of it. I was told I could have my mechanic look at the car before the sale was final and they agreed (written into the bill of sale). My mechanic said the car had a lot of problems, so I took it back the next day and they refused to take it back. I asked to speak with the salesman who sold me the car and they said he didn't work there any more. I spoke with Tom Dolan and his response was that I'd was never going to buy a car from him again, so there is no reason for him to take it back. Don't buy a car here!!!
