excellent food and service. wonderful atmosphere. I would recommend orozko.
Everything on the menu at Orozko looked delicious, but they missed the mark on every dish we ordered. At a spanish/basque restaurant, you would think they would at least prepare Paella properly. Even though it was served in a traditional Paella pan, it did not have the crispy, toasted bottom that is usually considered the best part of the dish. Ours had a broth in the bottom of the pan instead and was so salty we couldn't finish it. When we expressed this to our waiter, his response was "a lot of people say that." Then why hasn't anyone told the chef to make is less salty?! Out of three mussels in the dish, one did not open and one was empty. The two small pieces of lobster were overcooked and dry. At $32.50, I felt like I was paying premium prices, but did not the receive fresh ingredients or expert preparation expected to justify the expense.
This is not a Mexican restaurant it is a Basque restaurant. Food and service are excellent.
