I too had bad service at the downtown location, the waitress prepared my toast without washing her hands. I told her that I saw her doing that, I was in disbelief that she acted like she couldn't care less. I was disgusted. I called the health department on them.

This place would be the best place to eat if it weren't for the incompetent waitress. Sorry but I deserve better.

However, the other location in the Northwest part of town is great!

I just read you post from 1/24...My response is: That's fine and dandy if she likes sh*t on her toast CJ! I'm guessing your not really a tourist and maybe the rude waitress that made my toast! LOL

The look on my wife's face BOTH TIMES we went here on our 5 day trip to Reno said it all: Her eyes rolled into the back of her head and said "This is the best place, ever!"

The selection is great, the size is enourmous, and the taste is AMAZING. Ignore the bad reviews, this place deserves the title Best Breakfast Place in America.

As long as you don't sit next to the kitchen, sure... What you don't know won't hurt you... Be my guest, you deserve it CJ. lol

I don't work for Peg's, I'm a real tourist. Just because one person believes that a waitresses hands were not clean (which they probably were already) is no reason to put down the place on the Internet. This place is a one of a kind, it's a family place, and people deserve to know how good it is.

The food is ok. The service is good. My question is this: the place is operated by (I refuse to use the word: managed) the owner's daughters, Angie and Jodie. They are both rude, competely disrespectful and more importantly, abusive to the staff and employees. Why would anybody work there?

I will not return to any buisness that abuses its employees. Neither should you.

I Agree and I have never been back. I forgot I even posted about this place. I would never go back unless I wanted to have a bad experience again. However, the one in northwest Reno - is far better, great food and GREAT service...
