Adele's, as usual, has the perfect atmosphere and food. The service has slipped. I took a friend having a birthday there and told our server about the birthday. In the past the guest of honor has received a small dessert and candle for celebration. Not last night.......we were offered dessert menu's however. The server was scattered and slow. It was embarrassing for all in our party of five.
Absolutely the BEST RESTAURANT in Carson City. Outstanding service, delightful servers, and the most wonderful food.
One of a kind and not to be missed when in Carson City. I have been visiting Adele's since 1985.
If youâre ever in the Lake Tahoe/Reno area and looking for a truly, unique dining experience, a short trek to Adeleâs in Carson City is the place to go. From the Victorian charm of the 1864 structure to the rich, wood carvings and antique furniture gracing the elegantly-appointed interior rooms, you will feel as though youâve stepped back in time to a quaint Southern parlor, and are following in the footsteps of Mark Twain, who, more than likely, was a guest at the place when he lived in the area. This is just the first of many delights to follow as you are seated, then greeted by a well-trained, knowledgeable, courteous and very attentive member of the wait staff (both times my husband and I ate there, we received the same good service from two different waiters) whose memories in recounting the minute details of the daily, off-the-menu specials will astound you. We were very pleased by the choices of drinks from the well-stocked bar and distinct wine list, as well as the many varieties of appetizers and entrees which ranged from sophisticated and intricate seafood fares (flown in daily and extremely fresh) to the more hearty variations of steak and pork chops, all with a little different flare from the usual fare. Be sure, though, to try the superb Oysterâs Bienville â it was the best ever! Since my husband and I are both natives of the New Orleans area and have frequented the most renowned restaurants of that city and many other fine restaurants throughout the country, we are very discriminating when it comes to good food, but everything we sampled at Adeleâs was comparable to, and even rivaled, the finest cuisines of New Orleans and Charleston (two of our favorite places); so, we would like to give a nod of approval and a big hats-off to Chef Charlie, his staff and the enchanting ambiance we enjoyed at his first-class establishment. Thanks to all for a very memorable experience!
