I went with my dinner club last night to Noe. The food was fabulous. The decor was awesome. The floral arrangements were beautiful and the wine list was impressive. For that I give it a "4". However, as for the service, let's say they have a lot to improve upon. But if I had to give a number the service sucked, let's go with a 2.

Reservations were made 4 weeks in advance for them to accomodate a dinner for 20 people. Unfortunately, only 13 people showed up. However, our bill made up for the missing people and the waiter's tip was a little over 21%. So not bad for an evening on robotic services and management walking by and not speaking to anyone. I guess I have a real problem with that. Here's why. You have a group of professionals coming in to have dinner at your restaurant. Not once did the manager come in to say hello. Thank you coming. Is it a special occassion? Nada. He stuck his head in there several times and kept walking. It was not until the end of the night when we were leaving and after I guess he confirmed his waiter got his tip did he try to hold a conversation. What's up with that?

I was impressed when the one thing I asked for happen. I had asked the waiter to have the executive chef to come out and say hello to the group. Although he came out near the end...he did come out and participated in a pleasant dialogue with the guests. Also, he did send us a complimentary appetizers, which was nice. We are not sure what it was and could not get a clear meaning due to the heavy accents of the wait staff. But is was clear jelly with tuna and pear on the inside. It tasted okay. I just like to know what I am eating. LOL.

All in all, the question is whether I would return. I am not sure. The main reason for us going there was because we had heard Robert Gadsby, Executive Chef was there. However, Mr. Gadsby had left his position right before our reservations were made. When we told the waiter why we had chosen that restaurant, he was not excited....so I am not sure what made Mr. Gadsby depart but we got the feeling that it was a bitter departure.

So that was my experience. If I go back I will provide another review. I do hope they will enroll in customer services classes to learn the warm fuzzies people need when dining out. This was not Tommy's Hamburger. But a place of fine dining and like I said they were very "alien" like. No emotions. Nothing.

    Thant's my two cents.

My restaurant club and myself recently had the pleasure of experiencing Noe at the Omni Hotel with a party of 13. The decor and the ambiance was very appealing. Accommodations were more than adequate and my entrée was quite delicious (striped bass). The Chef who came out towards the end, provided us w/a complimentary appetizer. However with all this going on, I couldn't help but notice that the waiter was less than enthusiastic with our presence. Our waiter, though cordial and attentive, was not very personable. The interaction was very minimal. Another host showed additional parties to the table and his demeanor was that of an attendant at a mortuary. Perhaps this is the aura of this particular restaurant but this could make or break a return visit. With the price point, I would hate to return only to find the same vibe. I don't know about anyone else but I like to feel like you are glad I am here patronizing your establishment as well as the ambiance, decor, and great cuisine!

All 3 courses were great, amazing mojitos: We sat at the bar, and had some appetisers, main course and dessert.
    Everything was perfect.
