User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsi really dont get why people are hating? the mayan is really cool. we go all the time, and everyone there is having a blast! just show up by 1030 to get in half price.

The door people are really rude and so low class.
The area is a ghetto.
Inside isn't that bad, but overall it is a lower tier club.
Do any of the employees have any education, because I have not gone back since based on my experience with that rude Asian guy, who I believe is the upper management. He actually snapped at me for wearing jeans and given that they were very expensive jeans (like $150) and I had a nice shirt and looked good, he claimed I had a hole on the knees and so I couldn't get in. Does this guy know that a hole on the knee has been the style for a while. He yelled at me and embarrassed me in front of my girl friend. I mean , no class. I thought he was going to send his guard to attack me. I was polite, but for some reason, he wanted to make a point to embarrass me in front of my girlfriend.
Bottom line, I also agree with many comments here that the Mayan has its employees post these really good comments.
The truth is that if you have any class or education, don't go here if you want to be around a college educated crowd. Based on the customer service and its ghetto location (try not to get robbed here) , you will probably feel like a loser and then have the rude door people completely ruin your time from the point of going in, that you will be like me and never go back.
The clubs on Sunset are without comparison the difference between night and day, Sunset is safe , unlike this ghetto area in a ghetto of Los Angeles.
Also, watch out for the Asian guy in the suit at the door, he is unpredictable and a hot head and like to embarrass guys with hot chicks.
