About:Celebrating its 20th Anniversary, Engine Co. No. 28 has been putting out appetite fires with classic American dishes inspired by the regional cooking of firehouses across the country. The menu features a "signature" Meatloaf, New York Steak, Southern-style pan-fried chicken, crab cakes, Cobb salad, and Firehouse chili. The weekly chef "specials" feature fresh grilled fish such as salmon, halibut and seasonal vegetables. Daily soups include corn chowder, chicken tortilla lime, tomato basil, broccoli and many other rotating favorites. The restaurant is reminiscent of the classic grills of San Francisco and New York - mahogany booths, white linen tables, granite bar and original brass fire pole - housed in a restored 1912 Los Angeles firehouse. Engine Co. No. 28 offers a complimentary shuttle ride to the Music Center and selected Staples Center events.

i have been here several times for business lunches and as a vegetarian i find they have several choices and are very willing to modify an item. the service is always good and sometime excellent, but the food is always excellent.

What a disaster... I had absolutely Horrid service at the fire engine company today! I ended up pouring all the Wine and Pelligrino the entire time, and my lunch was with 2 TV personalities... Horrible service... I am so upset about going there... does anyone know how to best complain to the GM??

Too pricey for what you get. The service is good, but the menu is limited.
