User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsAmoeba is the best record store ever!: I've seen the best and worst of record stores in the LA area over the last 30 years, and as good as the best were, Amoeba beats them all hands down!
I can't go there and spend less than $100, it's really sick. The selection is amazing, especially for old vinyl.
The free live shows are cool, though I prefer not to go unless it's a band I really want to see, The fans just get in the way of the racks of music!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starslove + music = amoeba music: I can stay here for hours. I know, I'ma dork....lol. I LOVE music, though. They got an endless supply of cds, dvds, video games, 45s, 78s, posters, stickers. A lot of indie stuff, too. Hell, they even have eight-tracks!!! The prices are reasonable & if you're low on cash & need a music fix, you can always sell or trade any of your old cds, dvds, or records.
