The Farmer's Market is situated next The Grove, where high-end shops and movie theaters are located. It's a place where you can get a variety of different cuisines, from Chinese to Italian to Brazillian. You can also get some treats and souvenirs if you're coming out of town.
My favorite is the Pampas Grille where you're in a line to get some of the best Brazillian food in the mid-city. They charge you by the amount of food you get, through a weight scale and whether or not you want to, you should try every piece of meat they serve. Your mouth will thank you later.
Farmers Market, What a gem in sprawling LA.: What a find this was.... It once started off as a historic deal, since its been around, for quite a while (1934)... there are static displays of it from days gone, where you can take pictures of, but, its now combined with a more modern flair... I loved this place, and this would be a weekly venture, if I lived here.. But, its perfect for tourists and local's alike... from produce stands, to gourmet eateries, to coffee shops, and lots and lots of specialty shops, from nuts to candies to shells, to clothing, you will find it here. Plus, free 2 hr parking with validation... Another plus, is, its close to a huge area of Mall shopping, Rodeo Drive style, but on a lesser grand basis.. SO, once you park, you are off to spend a whole day in the area getting all your shopping needs met! I give this a thumbs up to something you all have to do, even if your here for a few days to those who live here. Its great for kids, as they have foods of all types, and great for those more into gourmet style. You can spend minimal to lots.... Have fun..and Enjoy!!
Pretty Sweet.: I love the Farmers Market. My friends and I go all the time. It's kind of like a little maze in the way the rows of food are arranged. It's right next to Starbucks and Johnny Rockets, among other places. And the best time to go has to be on a Sunday morning - lots of nice families and "earthy" people, whatever that means. But my favorite thing about it, besides the fresh fruit obviously, is it's right next to the Grove. :)
