| About: | Since opening over 50 years ago, Casa Bianca has been a local favorite. The walls are covered with memorabilia, from autographed head-shots of no-name celebrities to Italian artifacts. Casa Bianca draws in families, couples, professionals, hipsters and anyone else within a 10-mile radius. The pizzeria is cozy, upbeat and casual. The pizza is the best item on the menu. They offer traditional toppings, like pepperoni and adventurous ones, like eggplant. Some nights you may even wait over an hour, but it's worth it. After the meal you'll understand why night after night the line is out the door. While eating in is quite the adventure, remember there's always takeout! |

One word: overrated. Been living in Eagle Rock for more than 20 years and I've never eaten at Casa Bianca. Decided to try it for the first time a few days ago. Place was packed. Felt out of place hanging out with these trendy hipsters transplanted from Silver Lake. They all the look the same.
Anyway, ordered a pepperoni with mushrooms. Was way too greasy. And the mushrooms tasted like they were from a can. What a disappointment.
I'd recommend, if you like waiting in line for up to an hour for average pizza.
if you're looking for no frills mom&pop style italian food this is one of two places in n.e. hollywood/l.a. that are family run for multiple generations, and get it right, oh and by the way the best thin crust small edge-crust pizza this side of chicago. no reservations no credit cards, no delivery, but(thank-god)take-out. also available in whole-wheat crust, try the fried eggplant with your favorite toppings, they use top-grade sausage, and have freshly grated parm/chs. they serve late, but if you want to avoid a wait that can last over an hour, come b4 6:30 or after 9. if ur not in the mood for pizza, order one of the complete dinners, not avaiable for take-out, you even get choice of ice cream!
I like the pizza, but every time we come here it's an hour or more wait and the service is TERRIBLE! It's not worth it anymore, and they don't take any credit cards, not even debit cards, so unless you always carry a bunch of cash around you have to go to the bank to get $. Kind of a pain. Oh, and the place is filthy, the carpet, wall paper, chairs and tables are probably the same from when they opened over 50 years ago. It's just grimy and needs to be throughly cleaned.
