User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsI was shocked to see El Arco Iris listed as the best Mexican restaurant in LA! Who makes these lists? I used to eat at El Arco Iris 36 years ago when I lived about a block away from it. I was surprised to see that it still even existed! That says the owners must be doing something right. I ate there then only because it was so close. There is far better Mexican food in LA, however. Even on Olvera Street downtown, La Luz del Dia is much better. Their carnitas are superb, and the tortillas fresh and handmade. In SF, La Tacqueria has superb burritos and tacos...on Mission near 25th...unfortunately the neighborhood there has gotten more treacherous over the years, to the point that it disuades me from going. Congrats to El Arco Iris for surviving all these years!

its not that good the meat is not that fresh!!its ok better than fast food!
