| About: | Open since 1974, this West Hollywood restaurant has been a local favorite. The decor is modeled after the French Quarter of New Orleans and is equally as charming and magical. The menu is full of favorites. For breakfast try the Eggs Benedict or a fluffy omelette. For lunch and dinner, favorites include the hot breast of turkey, braised pot roast, roast pork, cheese ravioli, seafood linguine or rosemary chicken. |

My first experience with this marvel was when it was originally name The Louisiana Purchase ... and though the name has changed, the wonderful atmosphere is as wonderful as it was back in the mid-70's. If you are visiting West Hollywood, do not miss this brilliantly creative stroll through New Orleans ... West Hollywood style!
I've been eating at the FQ since it opened and these days they have priced themselves out of the good value column. For a better value, a more sofisticated menu and chef, and a great deal more ambiance try Cafe D'toile on Santa Monica near Robertson. Never a diisappointment.
service was great, atmosphere was nice as well, but the food quality is lacking. dont wade too far from the standard pasta or sandwiches. steams and ribs are NOT grilled on open fire, just merely heated in an oven or microwave, a process they called "slow roasted"...
for this same price, try le petit four or le clefoutis on the sunset strip. hope this helps
