User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsCafe Sushi is probably one of the best restaurants overall I have ever ate at, I recommend starting the meal off with the Tuna Salad slices of tender tuna topped with bomb fried onions and lettuce salad with wasabi and soy souse best thing ever. There is not one thing bad about this restaurant everything is perfect from the Hot towel they give u when u sit down or the passion fruit teat to the slices of oranges with whipped cream ate the end of your meal and the prices are not even bad at all.

Still the best sushi in L.A. after many years: My wife & I have been eating regularly at Cafe Sushi for over ten years now. The sushi is always very fresh and their cut rolls are delicious. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but who cares when the fish is always extremely fresh, service is reliable and friendly, and a variety of unique roles you can't get anywhere else. They don't skimp like so many places do these days by wrapping tasty fish covered in sauces around an imitation crab California role.
We have been to dozens of sushi restaurants and none have topped Cafe Sushi yet. They are a little on the pricy side, but it is worth it. It is hard to believe that you can eat at a place over 100 times in over 10 years and always have incredible sushi. I hate to broadcast to everyone how good they are, but they deserve the recognition and business.
Recommendations: Deacon Roll, Special #3 Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll (WOW), Forest Fire Roll, Catepillar Roll (Way better than anyone's to date). Enjoy!! 
User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsGood Food -- But No Longer A Good Value: I live in this neighborhood and have eaten at Cafe Sushi weekly for the past 2.5 years. The food was really good for the price. But, the menu just changed in Jan 2007 and it is no longer attractive as compared to other places for the same price point.
