The Getty Center is a great day trip from San Diego. Include this beautiful restaurant in your adventure. Reservations are required, 310-440-6810 or Open Table. (http://www.getty.edu)
The L-shaped dining room has floor-to-ceiling windows with one of the most amazing views in LA. The waiters add so much to the experience, making you feel comfortable, helping with selections and providing great service for the entire meal. Ask your waiter to point out Denzel Washington's house and Steven Spielberg's compound.
The menu is California- Mediterranean menu and changed weekly. The food is not at all what you would expect from a typical museum restaurant. But nothing about the Getty is typical.
Brunch is offered on Sunday.
This restaurant has one of the best views of los angeles. Even better they serve a fantastic brunch on Sundays. Go for brunch then take a walk around the Getty Ctr. (it's free everyday!) and you will have a wonderful afternoon.
