It may sound crazy, but this is the best vegan restaurant I've been to and tasted. The food is DELICIOUS. It is healthy also. In los angeles there may be slightly healthier restaurants in terms of fresh vegetables, but nothing tastes better than the mighty Vegan Glory!
Honestly, we'd give up meat just for this restaurant...and we have expensive taste.
Vegan Glory is Vegan Glorious!: Tim and I were about to head our seperate ways for lunch when I decided to suggest that we try this place all the vegan friends I have in West Hollywood have been raving about since I started working here. It's about five blocks away (faster if you drive and they have a FREE parking lot for customers) but I like a good walk in the middle of the day. We ordered from the menu we found online (totally a snap and very clearly explained items) and called it in. It was ready when I arrived and our lunches, both individually packed right down to plastic baggies around the thai iced teas in soft drink cups with lids, were piping hot even until I got back to the office and we busted into the bags to behold our feast. I was pleased to find that for around $10 each (INCLUDING beverages) we were able to enjoy lunch combos featuring vegan veggie rolls and salads (Tim had the L11) and an AMPLE pepper steak sandwich with fresh sprouts, lettuce, tomatoes and avacado. I was full after the sandwich and tea, no problem. Tim even packed up the rest of his rice and curry for a snack later in the day! I was pleased with the thai iced teas and will no doubt be gaining a few extra pounds from those. All in all, it was a pleasurable experience for both of us and being the food was organic and vegan, we could enjoy peace of mind knowing that we were doing something good for our bodies too! I would recommend this place to ANYONE visiting the area or if you're shopping in the Beverly Center, it's a short walk east on Beverly to Orlando to beat the grease of mall food courts and overpriced novelty restaurants. I know I'll be going back, probably once or twice a week for sure!
