Tommy's Original World Famous Hamburgers Los Angeles Area

Used to be the best . Not anymore . The sausage and eggs are still good but the good chilli burger days are over.

The first thing, I do whenever I come to visit my family in Hollywood, is drive straight to Tommy's at Rampart Blvd. In 1969, I was introduced to Tommy's Hamburgers through a friend in college. I remember those longgggg lines. The first time, I waited in a long line, I said to myself, "WOW!! this must be some kind of hamburger." IT WAS WORTH WAITING FOR.

These are the BEST HAMBURGERS I HAVE EVER TASTED.
I met Tommy's father at St. Vincent Hospital around the late 70's.

I'm coming up this weekend from Northern Calif, so here i come Tommy's.

I lived in the San Fernando Valley for almost 40 years and fell in love with Tommy's after first trying Bob's Bigboy in Van Nuys in 1961. I can tell you that nothing compares to a Tommy's Chili Cheese Burger or a Tommy's Chili Cheese Dog. I now live in Boynton Beach, FL and sure do miss making a "Tommy's Run". Whenever I visit L.A. I always manage to drop by the original Tommy's on Beverly at Rampart. I taught at Cleveland Chiropractic College on Vermont at the Hollywood Fwy which was 5 minutes away and managed to get there once a week for a fix. I rate Tommy's as number 1 on the list.
