I was expecting alot better, I didn't really care for the steak. You can go pretty much anywhere for the same prices (Morton's, Mastro's aren't too much more). Everyone else said they liked it though so maybe it's just me (or the Italian food is better than the steaks). It is very loud and crowded (like being in NY), no getting around that. Service was good.
It's not THAT great: My fancy in-laws from NY wanted to go because they had hear raves about their steak. The steak is ok, not that great. I had linguine with red clam sauce, wich was the best dish at our table. The anitpasto platter is not impressive-you get a lot of chickpeas- not impressive considering the money you're spending.
Our server went home halfway into our meal without saying anything to us, so spent a lot of time trying to figure out whom to ask for service.
There did seem to be a lot of very thin beautiful fake people around. I have no idea why they'd come there to carbo load, but whatever.
Best Ceasar salad and Steak in the city: Dan Tana's may be small and noisy, but the Caesar salad and steak are without equal. The Chioppino is to die for, and the garlic cheese bread is sinful. Great place for fine dining.
